(VIDEO: GE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey R. Immelt speaks at West Kendall Baptist Hospital about GE Healthcare’s New Revolution CT Scanner.)

General Electric (GE) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey R. Immelt visited West Kendall Baptist Hospital to celebrate the first U.S. installation of GE Healthcare’s new Revolution Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. Mr. Immelt toured the hospital and spoke at a reception attended by local business leaders and Baptist Health executives.

West Kendall Baptist Hospital purchased the scanner after conducting a six-month on-site clinical trial – the first such trial in the world.

The Revolution CT scanner gives physicians a high-resolution look inside the body. The scanner generates detailed images of organs, soft tissues, vascular structures and bones. The system provides a wider, more comfortable experience for the patient while reducing the noise level associated with CT scans. Revolution also emits lower CT doses, making it a safer option for pediatric patients.
