Patients Can Now Reserve Their Spot in Line at all Baptist Health Urgent Care and Urgent Care Express Locations
Baptist Health South Florida, a market leader in the delivery of urgent care services for the past 30 years, has made it even easier for people to access urgent care when and where they need it, according to Luis Bellmas, vice president of Baptist Outpatient Services.
Now, patients with a minor illness or injury can hold their place in line with “Save My Spot,” an online reservation system for all of Baptist Health’s Urgent Care and Urgent Care Express locations across South Florida.
This convenient new feature lets patients save time when they or their loved ones are in need of urgent care services. In advance of their visit, patients can use their phone, laptop or computer to go to BaptistHealth.net/UrgentCare, where they can choose the “Save My Spot” option to select a convenient location, date and time. Then, they simply arrive at their scheduled time and will be seen right away without having to wait.
According to Mr. Bellmas, Baptist Health cares for hundreds of thousands of patients a year at its 25 Urgent Care and Urgent Care Express locations. He says that the “Save My Spot” feature is all about making healthcare more convenient.
“Whether it’s shopping, dining, transportation or whatever, today’s consumers expect the promise of a digital experience that offers access, convenience and ease of use,” Mr. Bellmas says. “Baptist Health has always been an innovator in the delivery of health care, and this is just one of the many ways we’re making it easier for consumers to access the care they need.”
Mr. Bellmas says the only reason why someone with a reservation might have a short wait would be if another patient arrived at the same time with a serious condition requiring immediate treatment.
The new “Save My Spot” feature is already proving popular, according to Mr. Bellmas, but he is quick to note that walk-in patients are always welcome at any Baptist Health Urgent Care or Urgent Care Express location.
“Our Urgent Care centers are open every single day of the year, and many of them are open 12, 16, or even 24 hours a day,” Mr. Bellmas says. “Most patients are seen within 10 minutes and we do everything we can to help them feel better right away; in many cases, we can even send them home with their prescription medicines in hand. We want the experience to be as convenient as possible.”
