Plant Mobile
Let Fairchild come to your classroom with an exciting, hands-on experience that supplements your teaching. All programs are adapted to grade level and aligned with state and national academic standards.
The PlantMobile is available to come to your school on Thursdays between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Program time is one hour and you may book up to three of the same program in one day. Maximum of 30 students per program.

Program Options
From Roots to Shoots (Pre-K4 -1st) Take a journey into the magical world of plants! Students will explore plants from roots to shoots as they learn about the structure and function of plant parts and how they survive and thrive in their habitats.
Rainforest Relationships Students examine how intertwined our daily lives are with the rainforest. From medicines and food, to clothing and climate control, students learn how heavily we rely on this delicate ecosystem for our basic needs.
Kitchen Botany: From Flowers to Food When you eat celery, broccoli, or asparagus, what part of the plant are you eating? Using hand lenses and dissecting tools, students will examine fruits and vegetables to discover the integral relationship between plants, nutrition, and human health.
Plants and Pollinators Where would we be without pollinators in the world? Students will observe and dissect flowers to understand the intricate relationship between plants and pollinators, as well as an understanding of how our future depends on these important creature.
PlantMobile Academic Standards
1 hour classroom program; $100 for up to 30 students.
