Ceremony Locations

Bailey Palm Glade

For daytime and evening ceremonies. Restrictions may apply. 

Accommodates: 280 guests.

Fairchild’s most formal landscape feature, the Bailey Palm Glade is a charming setting with beautiful views of the Glade Lake and Royal Palm Lake. Oolitic limestone staircases lead past the lily pool and provide a remarkable entrance into this awe-inspiring setting. A majestic display of regal palms yields a long, narrow view across the Garden toward Biscayne Bay.

The Historic Amphitheater 

For daytime and evening ceremonies. Restrictions may apply. 

Accommodates: 350 guests.

Following a dramatic entrance across the land bridge, guests arrive at an enchanting grove of coconut palms. Featuring a gorgeous limestone dais, the historic Amphitheater is an intimate, romantic site that’s perfect for any event.

 

The Allée and Overlook

For daytime and evening ceremonies. Restrictions may apply. 

Accommodates: 80 guests.

Begin your journey down the tree-lined Overlook, a magnificent keyhole vista overlooking Pandanus Lake. The Overlook offers a panoramic view of the Garden’s lowland areas and lakes — a striking counterpart to the narrow views of the Allée. 

 

Reception Locations 

Garden House 

For daytime and evening receptions.

Accommodates: 250 guests seated at rounds, 200 guests seated at rounds with a dance area, or 400 guests in a cocktail or theater setting. 

Ideal for any event, the Garden House offers a lush, tropical setting. Beautiful landscapes and the peaceful atmosphere of the loggia and expansive lawn create a warm and intimate environment. Guests are surrounded by greenery, including majestic Bismarckia palms, bright orange bromeliads, and vibrant purple queen ground cover.

Lakeside Marquee 

For daytime and evening receptions.

Accommodates: 375 guests seated at rounds, 325 guests seated at rounds with a dance area, or 450 guests in a cocktail or theater setting.

The expansive white peak tent gleams during the day and glows at night — a picturesque setting for any event. Located on Pandanus Lawn, the Lakeside Marquee is adjacent to the Shehan Visitor Center, nestled between the Mosaic Ellipse and Pandanus Lake. The space can be magically transformed into a dramatic and enchanting setting surrounded by lush vegetation. 

The Glasshouse Cafe 

For daytime and evening receptions. 

Accommodates: 100 guests seated with furniture as is, 120 guests seated with alternate furniture, 60 guests seated at rounds with a dance area, or 150 guests in a cocktail or theater setting.

Directly across from the Richard H. Simons Rainforest, the Glasshouse Cafe is decorated with Dale Chihuly’s eight-foot-long ‘Clear and Gold‘ glass chandelier and boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows that yield breathtaking views of the Wings of the Tropics butterfly exhibit. 

Adam R. Rose and Peter R. McQuillan Arts Center

For daytime and evening receptions.

Accommodates: 200 guests seated at rounds, 150 guests seated at rounds with a dance area, or 300 guests in a cocktail or theater setting.

Inspired by the Florida vernacular architecture of the Garden, the Adam R. Rose and Peter R. McQuillan Arts Center combines art, science, and nature. Nestled between the Shehan Visitor Center and the historic Vine Pergola, the Arts Center courtyard welcomes guests with an arboretum of bright flowers, oolitic limestone walls, and window shutters. Six original botanical friezes by Miami artist Naomi Fisher showcase the Arts Center’s entrance. Inside, a pitched roof, gallery windows, and beautiful wood paneling create an intimate and dramatic space that complements the verdant beauty outside.

At Fairchild, we are committed to providing you and your guests with the experience of a lifetime. As a facilities rental venue, our focus is to provide you with a breathtakingly beautiful location for your event while giving you the freedom to choose your own caterer and vendors. 

The Special Events team is here to help you plan your celebration by facilitating any site visits or walk-throughs and overseeing deliveries and vendor setup the day of the event. We also supervise transitions during the event to ensure all the elements of your special day flow seamlessly.
