Santa’s Special Visit With Newborns, Parents at South Miami Hospital (Video)
Many families traditionally visit Santa Claus as a part of the holiday season. When a newborn baby is admitted into a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), it can mean days, weeks and even months of hospitalization — and that can be really tough on families throughout the holidays.
Santa made a special stop at the South Miami Hospital NICU to visit families that are not able to spend the holidays together at home. Mr. and Mrs. Claus visited families at the bedside to spread holiday cheer.
The nursing staff at South Miami Hospital began the tradition of having Santa visit the NICU last year to give parents the opportunity to step away from their difficult reality and enjoy some blissful holiday spirit. Watch the video now.
