Chef Richard Offers Healthy Eating Advice for Kids at Take Your Child to Work Day
South Miami Hospital’s Chef Richard Plasencia demonstrated healthy eating for employees’ children today who visited their parents’ workplace for Take Your Child to Work Day. The boys and girls, ages 8-14, listened to advice about eating a diet rich in colorful fruits and vegetables and low in sugar. After the brief classroom-style lecture, the children assembled their own healthy fruit salad, choosing at least five fruits from the buffet of healthy choices.
