Baptist Health South Florida is once again the recipient of two prestigious awards that honor high standards of workplace culture.

For the 17th time, Baptist Health South Florida has been named one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to the latest issue of Fortune magazine and global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work®. Baptist Health is one of only four companies in Florida and the only healthcare provider in the state named to this year’s list.

The Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list is based on employee ratings of their workplace culture, including the level of trust they feel towards leaders, the pride they take in their jobs and the camaraderie they experience with co-workers. Baptist Health again topped the list of employers with the most diversified staff in terms of minorities and ranked No. 97 overall.

“At Baptist Health, caring is what we do,” said Brian E. Keeley, president and CEO of Baptist Health South Florida. “We care for our employees and for our community. We know that when employees feel supported, they will in turn support each other and their patients. Our culture of compassion and caring helps us to attract the best and the brightest people to our team and also to maintain the highest standards of clinical and service excellence. ”

World’s Most Ethical Companies

In addition, Baptist Health South Florida was named one of the 2017 World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. It is the seventh consecutive year that Baptist Health has received this honor.

The Ethisphere Institute is an independent research center that promotes best practices in corporate ethics and governance. The World’s Most Ethical Companies designation recognizes those companies who recognize their role in society to influence and drive positive change, consider the impact of their actions on their employees, investors, customers and other key stakeholders and use their values and culture as an underpinning to the decisions they make every day.

“Receiving this recognition again gives us great pride because it acknowledges our long-standing culture of integrity, always putting our patients first and doing the right thing,” Mr. Keeley said. “Starting at the top with our governing boards, our organization is committed to our mission and to adhering to the highest ethical standards in every aspect of what we do.”
