Baptist Health Welcomes First Baby of 2016 at Baptist Hospital
While a lot of people were wrapping up New Year celebrations, the nurses and doctors at Baptist Hospital prepared to welcome the first baby born there in 2016.
Alaina Star Epps is the first baby born at a Baptist Health Hospital in 2016. Mother Cordelia Riggins delivered her Friday, January 1, 2:57 a.m., at the hospital’s Family Birth Place. The healthy baby girl was born measuring 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 22.45 inches. Cynthia Bradley, M.D., was the attending obstetrician.
Baby Alaina, mother, father Larry Epps and 16-year old big sister Ashley were doing great later that morning when the Baptist Health South Florida News Team and several local TV stations visited.
