Vivien Fongué, D.O., Joins Baptist Health Medical Group

Dr. Vivien Fongue - HeadshotMIAMI, FL – October 17, 2016 – Orthopedic surgeon Vivien Fongué, D.O., has joined Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians, as part of the Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Fongué specializes in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of general, acute and chronic orthopedic conditions affecting the bones, joints and soft tissues, complex fractures, non-union and mal-union, posttraumatic reconstruction of upper and lower extremities, pelvic and actabulum fractures, and periprosthetic fractures. He has special training in orthopedic trauma surgery, ranging from simple isolated fractures to multiple musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Fongué earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Fongué was an orthopedic trauma surgeon at United Health Service Wilson Medical Center in Binghamton, New York.

Dr. Fongué has authored peer-reviewed articles and presented research on his specialty. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the Orthopedic Trauma Association and AO North America.
