Dr. Howard Bar-Eli HeadshotMIAMI, FL – November 12, 2018 – Orthopedic trauma surgeon Howard Bar-Eli, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Medical Group, a network of primary care doctors and specialists who provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, as part of Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Bar-Eli specializes in orthopedic surgery following trauma, such as an injury sustained in a fall or an accident. He has unique expertise and training to treat complex orthopedic problems related to the bones, joints and soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments). He sees patients at Baptist Hospital of Miami, Doctors Hospital, South Miami Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital and conducts follow-up appointments at his primary office, located at 8950 North Kendall Drive, Suite 507W, in Miami.

Dr. Bar-Eli earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, N.J. He completed a four-year residency in orthopedic surgery at various medical institutions, including Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital; St. Peter University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.; Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, N.J.; and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y. He served as chief resident during his last year of residency. He also completed an orthopedic trauma surgery fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in Miami, Fla. Dr. Bar-Eli is involved in clinical research in his specialty to enhance the efficacy of treatments and improve patient outcomes.
