Coren Menendez, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Medical Group

Coren Menendez M.D.Primary care physician Coren Menendez, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians, as part of the Baptist Health Primary Care team. Dr. Menendez specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of health issues, including chronic disease management, simple and complex health concerns, minor emergencies and urgent care, health-risk assessments and healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Menendez received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University, and her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She completed a residency in family medicine at Bayfront Medical Center/Bayfront Family Health Center in St. Petersburg, Fla. During her residency, she also served as the family medicine residency recruiting coordinator and the intern retreat director. As the resident representative, Dr. Menendez was active on committees, including the Quality Improvement Committee and the ICU Committee.

Dr. Menendez is Board-certified in family medicine. During her training, she was the recipient of numerous honors, being named the Outstanding Family Medicine Resident, receiving the Charles E. Aucremann, M.D., Excellence in Family Medicine award, and being inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her propensity for humanism within the field of medicine. She was a volunteer physician at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, and volunteered on medical missions and international medical facilities in the Dominican Republic, and Malawi, Africa. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
