Bethesda Hospital West Celebrates 5 Years of Exceptional Care with Community Health Fair in Boynton Beach
BOYNTON BEACH – March 26, 2018 – Bethesda Hospital West marked its fifth anniversary Saturday with a Community Health Fair, featuring cooking presentations, health screenings and healthy cupcakes.
The 80-bed hospital, part of the Bethesda Health system that merged last year into Baptist Health South Florida, opened in 2013 at 9655 West Boynton Beach. Boulevard to serve a growing population in west Palm Beach County.
Members of the community attended the event, where they were privy to a sneak peek of the hospital’s planned expansion and a special preview of its new ambulatory surgery center. Members of various hospital departments, from emergency to outpatient rehabilitation to women’s health, were on hand to talk about care provided to patients.
Young-at-heart guests enjoyed the Teddy Bear Hospital and played a game of “Guess How Many BandAids are in the Jar” between cupcakes and face painting. Other activities included healthy cooking demonstrations and health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, cancer, heart health and sleep.
