Baptist Health Named to Workforce 100 List of Top Companies for Human Resources

Recognized for overall excellence in human capital management

Baptist Health South Florida has been named to the inaugural Workforce 100 list of the world’s best companies for human capital management. Developed by Workforce magazine, a leading human resources (HR) publication for more than 90 years, the list represents the first time research and statistical analysis have been applied to ranking the impact and effectiveness of an organization’s HR function.

Inclusion on the Workforce 100 list reflects Baptist Health’s exceptional performance in seven core areas indicating overall HR excellence: workplace culture, employee benefits, diversity and inclusion, employee development/talent management, HR innovation/management, leadership development, and recruiting and talent acquisition.

“Companies named to the Workforce 100 truly exemplify the best practices and most effective strategies being used to manage and maximize the impact of human capital today,” said Rick Bell, Workforce managing editor. “Workforce is proud to acknowledge Baptist Health South Florida’s commitment and accomplishments.”

Adriene McCoy, corporate vice president and chief human resources officer of Baptist Health, said, “For a regional healthcare organization to be grouped with some of the largest and most well-known international corporate brands is a true honor, and we are proud to deliver world-class service to our people.”

“This prestigious national recognition is a well-deserved validation of the human resources professionals who work with our 15,000-plus employees,” said Brian E. Keeley, president and chief executive officer of Baptist Health South Florida. “Sustained excellence in human resource leadership is one of Baptist Health’s key operating principles, and, as a result, our workforce consistently ranks among the most engaged and committed in the healthcare industry.”

To compile the list, the Workforce editorial staff worked with the Human Capital Media Advisory Group, the magazine’s research arm, to develop a statistically based formula that could analyze publicly available company information as well as benchmarking and ranking data. The formula was used to generate a score averaged and weighted across the seven core areas, creating a ranked list with comprehensive HR performance as the primary focus.
