How often do you shop for food? The average consumer goes food shopping about seven times a month, and sees about 43,000 food products in the average supermarket, according to the Food Marketing Institute [1], a trade association.

It may seem difficult with so many products, both new and old, and claims to sort through,” says Lucette Talamas, registered dietitian with Community Health at Baptist Health. “Fortunately, you have the power to influence the eating habits in your home, and it starts in the grocery store.”
What you buy and bring into your home matters, Ms. Talamas says. Watch the video to learn more.
