The Florida Health Department is providing extensive guidance regarding Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), including a new infographic (see below) for those who may show symptoms or those who have traveled to high-risk areas.
“It’s important to call ahead before visiting your county health department or healthcare provider,” states the Florida Health Department. “Offices must take proper steps to avoid further spread of COVID-19 when a concerned patient arrives for a medical appointment.”
Most cases of COVID-19 present mild symptoms, including fever, tiredness and a cough, that can be home-treated without medical intervention. More severe cases may include respiratory symptoms, such as shortness of breath.
Baptist Health South Florida is encouraging people who may be experiencing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 to stay home and see a doctor from their smartphone, tablet or computer via the Baptist Health Care On Demand app [1].
